Todd has built many cars over the years, the '74 Chevy shown above is one of those.

Artist Todd Emmons grew up in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. His dad and friends always had cool cars, so, Todd's interest in cars began early. He constantly drew cars from as far back as he can remember, prompting his dad to predict he would one day work as an artist.

After high school, Todd attended the Art Institute of Houston obtaining a degree in Graphic Arts. Years later he returned to school, Al Collins School of Design, to learn about computers and received a degree in Desktop Publishing.

Todd worked freelance for years along with various other jobs, until 1987 when he began working for Discount Tire Company. He eventually transferred to Phoenix, Arizona to work at the corporate office in DTC's advertising department. During his time at DTC he also freelanced for various companies and automotive publications. This is where Boyd Coddington saw Todd's work and contacted him. Boyd and Todd soon developed a friendship and Todd left DTC to pursue a career with Boyd Coddington's Garage.

Todd remained working with Boyd, doing all print media, illustrations and traveling throughout the country and Canada to numerous shows, for 8 years. After Boyd's death in February of 2008 and the closing of Boyd Coddington's Garage, Todd decided to open his own business, Emmons Design, using his knowledge and experience he has gained to help others chase their dreams.

Todd's list of clients include: Boyd Coddington, Fesler Built, Gemtop, Stainless Steel Brakes, Zoops, Goodmark Industries, Lokar, Primedia, Airaid, Hi-Speed Hot Rods, Cimtex Rods, and many more.
